 WELCOME!  St. Athanasius Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) serves the Parish youth by offering participation in regional athletic activities.  CYO sports builds teamwork amongst peers and enables all youth to nurture their holistic growth, leadership skills, talents and love for family & community.  St. Athanasius CYO is a positive community that brings together Parish youth with supportive role models that equally share a common love for God.

CYO Fundraisers

Please be sure to support the CYO players in raising funds for their award's banquet.  Our goal is to have 2-3 activities throughout the year.  Be on the lookout for our next fundraising event.

The following must be submitted to the Athletic Director PRIOR to volunteer service: 

Volunteers Living in PA continuously for 10 years
1- Pennsylvania State Police Clearance
2- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
You can obtain the required clearances at:
3- Disclosure Statement – can be found on link above. 
4- Safe environment I/Protecting God’s Children (YOU MUST ATTEND A CLASS)
Choose the most convenient time and location at:
(If you have this clearance and the “Technology Clearance” is not included (class before 2007), you will need to fill out a Technology Clearance Form)
5- Safe environment II/Mandated Reporting of Child Abuse
You can obtain the required training at:
Email certificate to AD when finished
6- Attendance at Coaches Orientation
You can obtain information about the required training at:
Register and attend course.  Will also need to complete online training and email certificate to AD when finished


All CYO staff and coaches are volunteer members of our community and are required to obtain local and state background clearances in order to work with our youth. Volunteering to mentor our youth in this capacity is a great way to give back to our parish! If you are interested in joining our staff, please contact the Athletic Director.
